Two New Custom Makers: Minifigs.me and JB Spielwaren
The catalogue has gained two makers, and neither is small: Minifigs.me and JB Spielwaren bring 893 figures between them.
They are in search from today, each has a collection page of its own, and every figure can be added to your collection in one click — with its picture, its number and its price, like any other figure.
The two new ones
- Minifigs.me — 611 figures. Film and television characters under names of their own, often as multi-part ranges: Regenerated Time Lords, The Dude & Walter, Movie Merc with a Mouth.
- JB Spielwaren — 282 figures. A German shop carrying the work of several designers under one roof; on many figures the designer is part of the name, such as Bricks of Maze or BricksCreations.
Eight makers were already here
- Abnormal — 244 figures
- American Brick Store — 168 figures
- Grandpa Clone Customs — 136 figures
- RichBrick — 111 figures
- Jaka Brick — 108 figures
- Republic Customs — 105 figures
- BricksAndFigsDE — 47 figures
- Phoenix Customs — 40 figures
That makes ten makers and 1,852 figures — a small world of its own beside the official catalogue. Every one of them can be owned, wished for and filed into lists, exactly like an official figure.
Missing a figure?
Then add it yourself. Add a figure takes a name, a maker, a theme, a price and a picture; from then on it behaves like any other — collection, wishlist, lists, statistics. Your own figures travel in your backup and come back with it. The custom makers in search and catalogue are switched on under Settings → Custom makers.
So what is a custom?
A custom minifigure is an original design on real LEGO parts: bought official figures are taken apart and printed anew, usually in runs of a few dozen. It is not a fake and not a copy — a fake sets out to imitate an existing original as cheaply as possible, while a custom is a figure that never officially existed. The long version is in What Are Custom Minifigures?
